Advisory regarding Firefox 51 and newer on Hi-DPI displays

February 2, 2017 11:25 pm / admin

On 24 January 2017, Mozilla released Firefox 51, and this update is being deployed automatically to computers using Firefox.  We have recently been made aware that this browser update causes a problem when completing exams on the IAQG Training platform when on Windows and using a Hi-DPI display configuration.

If you are using a Hi-DPI display configuration, you will receive a notice with a yellow bar at the top of your window upon entering the training or assessment.

Impacted Configurations:  Firefox 51 or newer, on Windows 7 or newer, on a Hi-DPI display configuration (also known as “DPI Scaling”).

Issue:  When clicking on the answers for multiple choice questions, the associated checkbox or radio button may not always activate or deactivate.  In some cases, the checkbox for a previous answer may activate/deactivate, or a different radio button than the one you intended to select may become selected.

Workarounds:

  1. Use a different web browser for the time being, such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Microsoft Edge.
  2. Access your Display Settings, and reduce the “Change the size of text, apps, and other items” setting to 100%.  (On Windows 7, this option can be found under “Display” in the Control Panel, and is titled “Make it easier to read what’s on your screen.”)

We are working to further diagnose this issue that was introduced in Firefox 51 and newer, and hope that we can provide an update to our training software as soon as possible that will bypass the problem.

UPDATE: We have confirmed that this issue remains a problem in Firefox 52, and have updated this news post accordingly.

9100:2016 Online Update Component Assessment Timing and Scoring Adjustments

January 13, 2017 4:01 pm / admin

Based on continued analysis of auditor assessment performance in the IAQG-sanctioned 9100:2016 Online Update Component, and in an effort to support the transition process, IAQG OPMT is making the following adjustments to the program effective immediately:

ISO 9001:2015 Pre-Assessment:

  • Available time in Knowledge section increases from 75 minutes to 90 minutes
  • No adjustment to Application section timing (45 minutes) or pass score threshold (80%)

9100:2016 Forms and Audit Reporting Assessment:

  • Available time increases from 2 hours to 2 hours and 15 minutes
  • Pass score threshold lowers from 75% to 73%

Auditors who have not yet started their assessments or related retakes will see the above adjustments immediately.  If an assessment attempt is already in progress, the assessment must be completed under the existing criteria and adjustments will be made retroactively per the schedule below.  Please note that there may be some discrepancies in the training text while translations are corrected to reflect the new criteria.
Auditors who completed the above assessments since the initial launch of the program on 30 November 2016 may be eligible to receive retroactive adjustments, per the following criteria:

ISO 9001:2015 Pre-Assessment:

  • Due to the timing adjustment, auditors who received a score between 42/60 and 48/60 in the Knowledge section in one or more failed attempts will receive a refund for one retake attempt. If another retake is required but has not yet been purchased, an additional retake will be provided at no additional charge instead of a refund.  (These retakes will still be subject to the mandatory wait period between attempts.)

9100:2016 Forms and Audit Reporting Assessment:

  • Due to the timing adjustment, auditors who received a final score of either 70%, 71%, or 72% on one or more attempts will receive a refund for one retake attempt. If another retake is required but has not yet been purchased, an additional retake will be provided at no additional charge instead of a refund.  (These retakes will still be subject to the mandatory wait period between attempts.)
  • Due to the pass score threshold adjustment, auditors who received a final score of either 73% or 74% on one or more attempts will be considered to have passed the 9100:2016 Forms and Audit Reporting Assessment and will receive a certificate of successful completion. In addition, refunds will be provided for any purchased retakes after the auditor received the 73% or 74% score.

Please note that auditors may be eligible to receive multiple adjustments per the above criteria.  Eligible auditors will be contacted shortly and adjustments will take place over the next five business days.  If you believe you are eligible for retroactive adjustments based on the above criteria and have not been contacted by 20 January 2017, please send an email to customersupport@iaqgtraining.com.

We apologize for any inconvenience the above adjustments caused.  The goal of the OPMT is to provide an effective and convenient approach for currently authenticated auditors to complete the required training while also ensuring effective audit reporting. We continue to monitor the results and take actions to ensure that our goals and the goals of the various interested parties are achieved as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Updated IAQG AATT 9100 Now Available

October 30, 2014 8:40 pm / admin

Attention IAQG AATT Training Provider Administrators:

The AATT Admin Site has been updated to re-enable scheduling of 9100 AATT Classroom Training and 9110/9120/Retake sessions. As a reminder, the 9110 Classroom Training has been eliminated; 9110 Final Examinations can be scheduled at any proctored examination session. TPs must schedule all sessions through the TP Admin Site at least ten (10) business days prior to the start date of the session; all participants must schedule their attendance at least one week prior the start date. You may either create a public session that is open for general enrollment, or a private session where customers must enter a code you designate to attend your session. Please note that all Trainers/Evaluators must have purchased the IAQG AATT Evaluator Update Package, completed all related requirements, and addressed any needed remedial actions prior to the start of any 9100 class.

The AATT website and registration flow for participants has changed. It is no longer necessary for customers to register first in order to access the store and schedule attendance at a session. Participants can now schedule for their desired AATT session right at point of purchase through the new purchase page. When proceeding with the purchase, the customer will be asked to either login to their existing account, or to create a new account, and be guided through the appropriate process flow. A participant may also elect to schedule later, which will still allow them to begin the Online Prerequisites right away.

You may use the TP Administrator site to view scheduled attendees, and the status of prerequisite completion for the 9100 AATT class. The online prerequisites for the 9100 AATT are as follows:

  • Completion of 9100 Initial Knowledge & 9100 Initial Application Exams
  • Completion of Foundations: Understanding 9100 Online Training (required if less than 90% score on either Initial Exam)
  • Completion of Foundations: Understanding 9101 Online Training, including 9101E/9101:2014 Revision Training

If a participant has not completed the necessary prerequisites prior to attending your session, they may not be eligible to complete the final online examinations, and the necessary Access Code will not be visible on the Auditor List. The prerequisite steps are also indicated to the participant through the Task List on their Dashboard.

All sessions must meet the minimum number of eight (8) participants to be approved. Once you meet this minimum number, you should approve the session through the option on the TP Admin Site, which will send a confirmation email to all scheduled participants. You may also cancel any sessions that fail to meet the minimum number of participants through the TP Admin Site. For last minute scheduling and adjustments, please contact us. Additional administrative fees may apply.
